Power management

liveVoyager is an operating system suitable for laptop, and netbook, as it provide a tool to preserving battery performance and duration. Not only, but it could be useful even for machine with normal electrical connection.
Accessing to:

Main Menu → Settings → Settings manager → Power manager

you get in a window with three sections.
  • General

    *

    In this section you can define what to do when the power button is pressed. By default is selected the option to ask what to do, but in the drop down menu you can define other functions (suspension, hibernation, null). Similarly it's possible to set-up the actions related with suspension, and hibernation buttons.
    It's also possible setting up monitor power, or to notify battery condition for laptop and/or netbook.
  • Alimentazione da Rete

    In this section you can set-up if you want suspending the computer if inactive for a time defined by user. In the 'Screen' tab it's possible suspending and/or quit the screen after a defined inactivity period. To set-up these functions, just scroll the cursor at the time you prefer.
  • Extended

    *

    In this section you can define computer, and monitor suspension modes after a long inactivity period, and if in hibernation, the screen must be locked.
