Burning DVD


Burning with Windows®

liveVoyager is a Linux distro based on technology with high compression, so pay attention in burning its ISO image. It should better using high quality level DVD support, and burning with DAO (disk-at-once) mode, with speed not over 8x.

It's possible burning DVD in Windows®. Downloaded image must be burned AS ISO file. Do not burning the ISO file as data disk. It's necessary burning the ISO file in Disk-At-Once mode.
You can use a variety of tools to burn an ISO image in Windows®.
The open source tool for Windows® is:
- cdrtfe: compatible with Windows 9x/ME/2000/XP;
Closed source burning tools for Windows® are:
- Nero (not Nero Express!)
- CD/DVD Burner XP pro

Burning in Linux

If you already are a Linux user, you can burning the DVD by command line or with one of the available graphic tools.
- If your are using GNOME there are Brasero, and GnomeBaker.
- If you are using KDE you can use the magnificent K3B.
- If you are in Xfce you can use the simple, but powerful Xfburn.
- Usually the modern file manager allows you to burning the ISO file right clicking on it, and choosing the burning option. Just click on it and the burning tool will run immediately.
Follow the specific instructions on the screen, to burn the ISO file.
